Visit of the Uzbek delegation to Ufa

 

On July 16, as part of a working trip to the Volga Federal District, a delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullayev visited the city of Ufa.

During the meeting with the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, current areas of cooperation were discussed, including issues of social protection of Uzbek citizens, recognition of qualifications and development of vocational education, transfer of part of the procedures for patent registration to Uzbekistan.

The Head of Bashkortostan noted the significant contribution of Uzbek citizens to the socio-economic development of the region and confirmed readiness to further strengthen systematic support for labor migrants.

The parties considered the prospects for cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, logistics, education, and culture, expressing interest in developing interregional and fraternal ties, as well as creating joint business initiatives.

Within the framework of the working trip, consultations were held in the field of migration by the relevant structures of both countries, as well as a meeting with the Chairman of the Central Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Russia, Talgat Tadzhuddin.

Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached to create a working group on jointly countering illegal migration and expanding organized employment. A decision was made to develop a roadmap for the implementation of the agreements reached and to continue regular dialogue to deepen the strategic partnership between the countries.
