Visit of the Delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Volga Federal District
On July 13, 2025, a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the city of Kazan, where meetings were held with the leadership of major employing companies and with Uzbek citizens working in the region.
As part of the visit, discussions took place with the management of Volga Avtodor LLC — a company specializing in the construction and repair of roads and producing up to 250,000 tons of asphalt concrete annually — and with the leadership of the Syuyumbike café chain. The delegation also met with Uzbek nationals employed at these and other service-oriented enterprises.
Currently, more than 500 Uzbek citizens are employed at Volga Avtodor's branches in Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny. Around 50 work at the company’s head office in Kazan. Additionally, 20 Uzbek nationals are employed in the Syuyumbike café network.
During the visit, preventive sessions were conducted with labor migrants, focusing on the importance of complying with migration laws, avoiding involvement in illegal activities, and showing respect for the customs and traditions of the host country. Furthermore, a representative of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan held spiritual and educational conversations aimed at reinforcing moral values, religious tolerance, and interethnic harmony.
The management of Volga Avtodor LLC expressed strong interest in recruiting qualified Uzbek professionals and announced the need for an additional 300 employees in 2026.
