Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan met with EU Special Representative for Central Asia
On 12 May 2025, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with Eduards Stiprais, the EU Special Representative for Central Asia.
During the talks, the sides discussed topical issues of regional security, the situation in Afghanistan and prospects for deepening interaction between Uzbekistan and the EU.
The parties reaffirmed mutual interest in continuing a systematic and constructive dialogue on the Afghan settlement and agreed to maintain regular consultations.
