On October 23, Ismatulla Irgashev, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, held a meeting with Abdul Hai Qanit, the Head of the third Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the main areas of cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade and economic spheres.
Noting the dynamic development of bilateral relations at various levels, they expressed mutual interest in the full use of existing potential.
The parties also discussed security issues and mechanisms of bilateral and multilateral cooperation to establish sustainable peace in Afghanistan.
The meeting was held in a constructive spirit, and an agreement was reached to continue the practical dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries on a systematic basis in the future.
