On Uzbekistan delegation’s visit to Hungary, Serbia and Croatia
On 17-21 February, the delegation of Uzbekistan held a series of meetings with a number of government institutions in Hungary, Serbia and Croatia, as well as with major recruitment companies and compatriots working and studying in these countries. The main topics of discussion were labour migration, employment, simplification of visa procedures and integration of educational programmes.
During the talks, the sides agreed to jointly develop an intergovernmental agreement on migration, readmission and mobility, to support the simplification of the procedure for issuing work visas to Uzbek citizens, and to take joint measures to attract Uzbek specialists to priority sectors of the economy.
As a result of the visit, there has been a strengthening of business and cultural links between the countries and the identification of further areas for co-operation.
