On the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Ashgabat
Ashgabat, March 26-27 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov paid a visit to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, where he participated in high-level meetings aimed at enhancing bilateral and regional cooperation.
As part of his visit, the Uzbekistan Foreign Minister attended the 20th Central Asia – European Union Ministerial Meeting. This gathering underscored the collective commitment of Central Asian nations and the EU to strengthening cooperation. During the meeting, discussions focused on pivotal topics aimed at fostering sustainable development and deepening regional engagement.
During the visit the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received our delegation. Foreign Minister conveyed the warmest greetings from the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The enduring bond and mutual trust between the leaders of the two nations serve as a cornerstone for strengthening the strategic partnership across all sectors. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to fostering deeper cooperation, contributing to mutual prosperity and regional stability.
In a bilateral engagement, the Uzbekistan Foreign Minister held talks with Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The discussions were extensive, covering the full spectrum of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Special emphasis was placed on reinforcing the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Both sides explored new opportunities to enhance collaboration across various sectors, underscoring a shared vision for greater economic and diplomatic ties.
