Meeting with the Ambassador of Qatar
On February 6, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with Hassan bin Hamza Hashim, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the main areas of bilateral cooperation, as well as prospective directions for trade and economic, transport and logistics, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation in the context of Afghanistan.
The Qatari side highly valued Uzbekistan’s contribution to the organization of a dedicated session on Afghanistan within the framework of the annual Doha Forum held in December 2025.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides expressed their mutual readiness to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and to continue constructive dialogue on Afghanistan-related issues.
