Meeting with the Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan
On 23 May, 2025, Deputy Foreign Minister Olimjon Abdullayev met with Ambassador of Japan Mr. Hatori Takashi at the MFA of Uzbekistan.
During the talks, they discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration and visa facilitation for Uzbek citizens. Special attention was paid to training of highly qualified personnel for the Japanese labor market and development of joint educational programmes on pre-departure training.
During the meeting, the parties also raised cases of violation of migration rules of stay in Japan by Uzbek citizens and measures to prevent them in the future.
The parties confirmed readiness for further cooperation to create favorable conditions for Uzbek citizens working in Japan.
