Kuwaiti delegation going to provide free treatment to patients in Aral Sea region

 

On April 29, 2025, in Tashkent, a meeting took place between the Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Munira Aminova, and the First Deputy Minister of Health, Davron Sultonov, and the Head of the International Surgical Group Al-Amal, Hisham Burizq, along with the Manager of the Kuwaiti charity organization Sheikh Abdullah an-Nuri, Abdulatif az-Zafiri.

During the meeting, the objectives of the ongoing humanitarian mission were discussed, including the provision of free diagnostics and treatment for approximately 500 patients in the Aral Sea region. The parties emphasized the importance of the initiative in strengthening public health and expanding access to modern medical services.

The Advisor to the Minister highlighted the significance of this humanitarian mission for Karakalpakstan, noting that the project would not only improve public health, but also strengthen bilateral cooperation between the countries in the field of healthcare. Organizational matters, planning of upcoming operations, and the further expansion of cooperation in the medical field were also discussed during the meeting.

Throughout the dialogue, both parties expressed interest in developing long-term partnerships, including the implementation of joint medical programs, the organization of training events, and the exchange of experience between specialists from both countries.
