Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan had a phone conversation

On May 11, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a phone conversation with Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the conversation, the sides once again underscored with satisfaction the high level of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership, which continue to strengthen consistently across all areas.
The parties also discussed the successful organization in Uzbekistan on May 8–10 of the Scientific and Practical Conference “Akhal-Teke Horses – a Symbol of Friendship of Nations” as well as large-scale international equestrian events held jointly with the Turkmen side and foreign guests at a high level.
The sides expressed a shared view that the equestrian competitions have become an important platform for further strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, as well as for expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Particular satisfaction was also expressed that, alongside numerous prizes, the winners of the competitions were honored with high awards on behalf of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
