Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Switzerland met in Bern
On October 16, 2025 in Bern, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Member of the Federal Council and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis.
At the beginning of the talks, the Uzbek side expressed sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to the delegation.
The parties discussed in detail the prospects for further strengthening and expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Switzerland.
Special attention was given to enhancing interaction in the fields of innovation, science, education, capacity building, trade and economic partnership, as well as in other mutually beneficial areas.
The sides also exchanged views on ways to deepen coordination within regional and international frameworks, reaffirmed their commitment to consolidating the positive dynamics in bilateral relations, and agreed to continue joint efforts to effectively address current global challenges.
