The MFA hosted a presentation of the US grants in the area of economic development
On February 1, 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a presentation of ongoing and planned US grants in the area of economic development.
The event, organized together with the US Embassy in Tashkent, was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov, Director of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) mission in Uzbekistan David Hoffman, representatives of ministries and departments of Uzbekistan involved in the joint implementation of projects of the USAID and other US departments.
The sides substantively exchanged views on organizational and other aspects related to the implementation of projects aimed at developing agribusiness, promoting entrepreneurship and improving the business climate, enhancing water resources management and environmental protection, expanding partnerships in Central Asia in the trade, economic, and energy fields.
The parties also discussed prospects for deepening cooperation in 2024-2025, and outlined joint tasks to increase the effectiveness of the aforementioned projects.
