On January 31, 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov held a meeting with the Special Envoy of the German Government for International Climate Action, State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany Jennifer Lee Morgan.

The current state and priority areas for the further development of Uzbekistan-Germany cooperation, primarily in the field of ecology and the fight against climate change, were on the agenda of the meeting.

Special attention was paid to strengthening dialogue in the field of alternative energy, digitalization of agriculture, and water resource management, environmental education, as well as combating the negative consequences of climate change, including through the exchange of experience and technologies.

The sides also exchanged views on cooperation within the framework of multilateral structures, as well as the schedule of upcoming joint events.
