Meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran

On January 29, 2024, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Bagheri Kani.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the efforts of the two countries to expand cooperation in the Afghan direction, as well as the situation in Afghanistan.
The senior diplomat of Iran emphasized the active participation of Uzbekistan in establishing long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.
The parties expressed mutual interest in developing joint actions to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, as well as to promote the peaceful development of the country.
