On February 28, 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov met with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Kaha Imnadze.

The parties discussed the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Regional Center and the priority areas of interaction in the near future. 

Special attention was paid to the joint implementation of projects aimed at ensuring stability and security in the region, countering the negative consequences of environmental challenges, as well as strengthening the transport, transit, and logistics potential of Central Asia. 

The parties discussed the schedule and organizational aspects of upcoming joint events.
