Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan held negotiations with the representatives of Japanese business
On March 7-8, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Japan Bank for International Cooperation Maeda Tadashi, Chairman of Japan External Trade Organization Ishiguro Norihiko, Chair of Japan-CIS Business Cooperation Committee of Japan Business Federation, Chairman of Japan Foreign Trade Council, Chairman of the Board of Marubeni Corporation Kokubu Fumiya, President and CEO of Sojitz Corporation Masayoshi Fujimoto, Chairman of the Board at Shimizu Corporation Yoichi Miyamoto and representatives of leading Japanese companies.
During the meetings, the parties discussed boosting trade and economic cooperation, implementing joint investment projects in promising sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy.
